2005 Season - Week 20

BUMSBowl X

At half-time both Cheryl and John had decent leads in the games and there was no looking back as they both won easily. Both Cheryl & John have been beaten in the Wildcard Round in each of the past 3 seasons but both have tuned it around this postseason (John averaging 25 points & Cheryl averaging over 30). This will be their first meeting in the postseason. All-BUMS Voting Don’t forget to vote for your favourite players of 2005. Remember I need (in order) your top 3 Running Backs and top 3 Receivers plus your number 1 & 2 QBs, Kickers and Coaches. Vote for your players based on BUMS points (attached), how much you enjoy watching them, what they meant to their BUMS roster/NFL team or just the fact they were yours. The deadline is Wednesday Feb 1st so that the votes can be counted and the team can be announced at the BUMS Superbowl Party on Sunday Feb 5th at BUMS HQ from 10:30pm. It Could Have Been So Different Trading Day - so what’s the point of that then. Depends on who you ask. Incredibly for the second year running AP and Mark would have shared the honours without Trading Day but Daz improved his score by 105 points . Johnny escaped relegation by improving his score by 53 while Dave G made no changes and he went down. For a second year Phil would have been promoted without trading day but Aaron’s trades showed a +81 differential and it’s Junior BUM Jnr who gets promoted. Without trades the tables would have looked like this:- PREMIERSHIP actual finish CONFERENCE actual finish =1 AP 471 2 1 John 465 1 =1 Mark 471 4 2 Phil 366 5 3 Gareth 457 5 3 David S 357 2 4 Daz 403 1 --------------------------------- 5 Andy H 402 6 4 Aaron 323 3 6 Marcus 385 7 5 Paul 315 4 7 Cheryl 384 3 8 Dave G 383 10 ---------------------------------- 9 Wayne 376 9 10 Johnny 364 8 11 Ron 361 11 BUMS on Superbowl Seats Pittsburgh will play Seattle in Superbowl XL which is on Sunday February 5th in Detroit. Kick-off is around 11.30pm & Cher will be cooking a USA feast for 11pm so let us know if you can make it. We’ll also play the usual games, more on these next week.
